Free HPGL Viewer

HPLG file is a printer instruction file based on the plotter language developed by Hewlett-Packard. This type of files (*.phgl file extension) contains and are used to send information to plotter printers, which draw images using lines instead dots that are used on laser or inkjet printers. HP Graphics Language is formed from a series of two letter codes followed by arguments, normally separated by commas, and ending in the separator character which by default is semicolon. This file format was not intended as an interchange format, but is used as such from some software suppliers.
HPGL/2 is the successor of the old HPGL format. HPGL/2 processes expanded vector and raster information using very little memory space. According to the distribution any CAD system supports HP plotter drivers.
HPGL viewer is free, small and compact viewer supported by all versions of Windows OS. This viewer allows you to open and view the *.hplg files before you print them. Except viewing HPGL files, this viewer supports resizing, rotating and converting this file types in other user friendly file formats such as JPEG, Bitmap, GIF, PNG and other extensions without losing any quality.
This viewer have a very used-friendly interface that makes it suitable for use for any type of user, beginner or advance.

Free TGA viewer

TGA file format referred and as TARGA file format, is a raster graphic file format. This was the native format of Truevision Inc’s TARGA and VISTA boards, the first graphic cards for IBM compatible PCs to support Highcolor/Truecolor display. TARGA is an acronym for Truevision Advanced Raster Graphics Adapter; TGA is initialism for Truevision Graphic Adapter. Today, most of the people refer to this format as “TARGA file format”. TGA files have “.tga” extension on PC DOS/Windows systems and Mac OS X. Older Macintosh systems use TPIC type code.

TGA can store image data with 8, 16, 24 and 32 bits of precision per pixel, maximum 24 bits of RGB and extra 8 bits alpha channel. TGA file format originally was defined and specified by AT&T EPICenter in 1984. Their two cards, VDA (Video Display Adapter) and ICB (Image Capture Board) used the first incarnations of the TGA file format.

Even today, with its maximum color depth, TGA is not well suited for high-end pre-press, inventive image processing systems. TGA is still used throughout the animation and video industry because its primary intended outputs are standard TV screens, not color printed pages. Uncompressed 24 bit TGA images are relatively simple compared to several other 24 bit formats. A 24 bit TGA contains only 18 byte header followed by the image data as packed RGB data.

Today, there are not many programs for opening and converting TGA file format. TGA viewer is a small, compact tool for opening, resizing and converting TGA file format to others image formats as JPEG, GIF, Bitmap, TIFF and others. With a very simple user interface this software is easy for using for every type of computer users, beginners or advanced users.
